Vick would love to come to Carolina

Various reports have said the Eagles have to pay Michael Vick's $1.5 million roster bonus Friday, the day Free Agency starts. Actually, the Birds say the date is March 10, the fifth day of the league year. Most likely, nobody is going to give up anything for Vick until the Eagles pay that money; otherwise, Vick becomes a free agent and can be signed by anyone.

In a recent Atlanta radio appearance, Vick said his preference would be to join the Carolina Panthers, who have not been among the teams most frequently linked to him, whatever that means.

"Well, you know, it's close to home. I like the uniforms. You get to play against Atlanta twice a year. Ain't nothing better than playing against your former team, right? So, yeah, that would be a good look, it would be a good look," Vick said on Atlanta's Hot 107.9 FM.

The Panthers are quarterback-challenged, with Jake Delhomme and Matt Moore, but they were uninterested in Vick last summer.

  1. I cant tell you how nice it would be to have Michael Vick here in Carolina. The Panthers have struggles at QB and Vick would bring excitement back to the game. Carolina is a conservative state and people here absolutely love their dogs so I dont know how they would take to Vick being on the team. All i know is this, The Panthers aint made the playoffs in 2 years and it doesnt look promising for the upcoming season. Vick could change that. You heard it here 1st.
